The restaurant began as most other small restaurants do, a very modest theme with everyone trying to
figure things out. After the earthquake during the pandemic in 2020, many of the decorations in the
restaurant were damaged. We have always been prayerful in our business activities. However, after the
earthquake and amid a changing economy, the prayers that went up evolved into seeking new
directions to know how we can further be a blessing to our community. Minds were inspired by heaven
at this point. One day, the pandemic would be over, people would want to dine at restaurants again,
inflation was rising, families would demand more value for the higher prices they will be paying, and we
wish to bring a piece of the Thailand islands to our customers.
After much economic and political stress, people need a vacation. However, not everyone can afford to
hop on an airplane to Thailand whenever they want, so we will bring a sample of the tropical island
vibes of southern Thailand to our community here.
Usually, when someone goes to Thailand, they stay in the massive, packed, polluted, and busy city of
Bangkok. However, the islands in southern Thailand are also huge tourist destinations, some islands
more crowded than others. The three biggest destinations are Krabi, Phuket, and Koh Samui. Even from
these areas, you can veer off to more secluded and serene locations like Koh Phi Phi (Koh means island),
Koh Tao, Koh Lipe, Koh Surin, Koh Similan, Koh Chang, and much more. There are islands with caves that
lead to oasis centers in the middle of the islands with plant-life that cannot be found anywhere else on
the planet. There are islands that look like the floating mountains in Disney’s Avatar movies. The islands
in southern Thailand are some of the world's most beautiful islands and contain some of the planet’s
most healthy and diverse coral reefs, tropical fish, various marine life, and yes, monkeys and elephants.
